Our partner school in Detroit, Michiganis looking to find a kindand compassionate School Social Worker(SW) to join our Special Education team for the full school year.As a School Social Worker, youwill be providing essential support to our students facing social, emotional, economic, and environmental challenges!
Requirements:
- Must have a Masters Degree in School Social Work
- Must have an active or temporary approvalSchool Social Work Certificate & License for the state of Minnesota
- One of the following:
- SSW-310 Authorization for School Social Work
- MDE School Social Worker Credential
- Previous experience preferred, but not required.
Position Details:
- Current School Year: ASAP - November 2025
- Full-Time: up to 40 hours per week
- Monday - Friday
- Caseload: K - 12th grade openings, specificdetails will be discussed during the interview process.
- Pay Range: $30- $50per hour, depending on previous experience
General Responsibilities:
- Assess the social and emotional needs of students and develop intervention strategies to address these needs.
- Provide direct support services through counseling, crisis intervention, and case management.
- Serve as a liaison between the school and external agencies, facilitating access to community resources for students and families.
